Do you design fences too, or just build them?
Both. Design is built into our process. Every project starts with an on-site estimate where we assess your property, then our team drafts a design so you can see exactly what you’re getting before we build. You’re never guessing what the finished fence will look like.
Is pressure treated wood better than metal posts?
It depends on your property. Pressure treated posts are the traditional choice and work well in most yards. Metal posts cost a bit more upfront but won’t rot at the ground line, which is where wood posts typically fail in our wet Oregon soil. For properties near water or with poor drainage, metal posts are usually worth it. We’ll give you a straight recommendation during your estimate.
How long will a cedar fence last in Oregon?
A properly built cedar fence lasts 15 to 20 years or more in the Willamette Valley. The key word is properly built. Post depth, drainage, hardware quality, and airflow between boards all matter. Most fence failures we see come from shortcuts in the original install, not the cedar itself.
